Purchased a 19" half oak barrel and lined it with pvc pond liner.

Placed a length of 3" drain pipe into the barrel. It stands upright, with draining holes at one end allowing water to enter the peat. The top end sits about 1cm above to bog surface.

Filled with sphagnum moss peat. Probably should have mixed with sand or perlite, becasue now it is fully saturated and very heavy
