Taken at the beginning of September 2008. This year looks like being a bumper crop of Conference pears. A fruity photo using Fujichrome Velvia100 and an old Praktica MTL3.

The HoverSpeed SR.N4 passenger hovercraft operating between Dover and Calais up until 2000.

The wonderful new (newly acquired at least, they don't make this kind of thing any more) Minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400 is bringing my old 35mm film back to life. The scans from these old negs are amazing compared to the faded photo prints.
Next project, find some exposed 35mm film and modify it into a 110 negative carrier.

The fish have been blury shadows all winter. Some spring sun will warm the water, bring the fish back to the surface and encourage the plants to grow. This will have to do for now though.

I win. The domain name djmorgan.co.uk now points to djmorgan.org.uk. Too bad if you were looking for the old owner. I don't know them, and anyway it's mine now. I wonder what ever happened to the previous person @djmorgan.co.uk..... perhaps they would like all of the dirty spam that arrives each day. .

Black hand man has touched the volts, they burned, but he liked it. He liked it too much and now wont let anyone else touch them. He roams the fenced compound drunk on potential difference, aggressively protecting his volts with a hot black extended hand.
Authorised persons enter the compound each week to hose him down and top up the volts, everyone else must remain behind the circle slash viewing window. .

I spent Saturday evening fixing my monitor. Yes, it's a strange thing to publish here but I enjoyed doing it. Only a geek can understand the excitment of taking on the inner workings of a 22" CRT with it's thousands of deadly volts and x-ray warnings. Also, this post will be commited to the information superhighway forever and may help other people searching for a fix. The VM Pro 510 (A201HT) gradually stopped working over the course of a few weeks. The first signs of a fault were when the PC powered up. If in standby mode (orange LED) the monitor would initially sense a video signal and switch on (green LED). However, as the fault became worse, the monitor would fail as it switched on and reverted to standby mode. In the end it would fail to even enter standby mode and stopped responding to the on/off switch. Click Read More for more... |
